03About
I sold software for eight years. I joined Signpost in 2015 as a business development rep. I left in 2019 as its senior sales manager. I earned six promotions in four years. My buyers were plumbers, roofers, and HVAC techs. They hate software. They buy because it works. I went on to sell to big companies at Formstack and Palantir. The budgets were a hundred times bigger. The question was the same. Does the thing do the job?
In 2023 I started to build. ReviewWheel began as a wider platform for contractors (YAI). The best part got contractors more customers from Google with SEO, reviews, and websites. I built a self-serve platform around that part. It does the work better than anyone.
Workbench is an open source benchmark. It scores every AI model on three axes: intelligence, efficiency, and agency. It tests them on entry level, middle management, and senior executive work. Model Topography draws the map: every model as one dot in 3D space. They answer one question. Which model do I hand this to?
Outside work, I lift heavy sandbags and train with firearms. I think, write, and pray about the future of my family, my nation, and my Roman Catholic faith.
